Now this is a city you can disappear into. I thought Naples had cornered the market on beautiful chaos, but Palermo is giving it serious competition. It’s loud, layered, raw, and alive—packed with culture, art, and enough history to make your head spin.

And the food? Unreal. After four days of eating my way through the city, I can confidently say Palermo doesn’t just show up—it shows off. The variety, the flavors, the street food… it’s all next-level.

What I loved most was wandering without a plan. You see everything here: the beauty, the grit, the contradictions—all wrapped into this wild seaside city. Palermo gets under your skin in the best way.
