January in Florence is beautiful and haunting at the same time. The sky rules the mood of the city when the clouds roll in. This adventure I was able to get some really nice scenic shots as well as capturing some of the "real" life of Italy. Speaking the language really helps and the Italians are very gracious when you try. I was able to be comfortable with shopping and traveling the country on the train. The investment in time and energy is paying off with great fun.
